Uptown Cottage

2010

Inspired by old-world cottage design and the surrounding Victorian era architecture of uptown Port Townsend, WA, this single-family residence fits right in on its small city lot between two historic homes.

The swooped, curved roof at the entrance decorated with classic finishes and details was a specific request of the homeowner.

Inside, below the gabled roof the attic space serves as a cozy guest room with high vaulted ceilings.

Traditional gridded windows, enchanting landscaping and a peek-a-boo view of Port Townsend Bay from the bedroom window add to the charm of this home that so easily matches the 19th century style of the neighborhood.
